Labor elections
in one month. Posted 6/7/2001
The Israeli Labor party (Haavo'da) is having in internal
elections soon to decide which candidate will represent the party
during the next elections and try to become the next prime minister
of Israel.
Arik Liderman, is a member of the Labor party and
worked hard during the last elections, standing on the streets with
flags, working during the elections day, convincing people and finally
creating a website for the Labor
candidate.
As you know, Labor headed by Ehud Barak lost the last
elections.
Today the Labor party sits in a unity government.
It's the only left wing party and the only party in this country
which cares about the fate of the country more then itself and decides
to enter a government with the extreme right.
The right criticizes Labour for it's 'left wing' policy
and the left camp criticizes Labor for it's 'right wing' policy
and for the fact that it's part of Sharon's government.
The fact is simple: Labor cauld have stayed outside
the government, be a fighting opposition and be very popular.
Labor decided to be inside the government, for the
people of Israel, to counter the extreme right and the unite the
people of Israel although the fact that Labor will sit inside a
right-wing government will heart the party itself.
For the care and for the peace policy, in my opinion
Labor should be given the full support and should be elected during
the next elections.
In one month Labor will decide who will represent
the peace camp in the next elections.
The two candidates are: Avraham Burg and Fuad Ben
Eliezer.
I call upon all my Labor friends to support Fuad during
the next elections!
He is the right man to lead the country!
More information and why Fuad is better will be posted
soon on ANN!
