Terrorists
penetrate Israeli town, kill two teenagers, wound 14. Posted 3/10/2001
For the first time in this armed Intifiada Palestinian
terrorists attempted to penetrate a Jewish town, kill it's citizens
and capture hostages.
This was an horrific act of terror, amed at peacful
civilians living their daily lives.
Eli Sini was the target.
Eli Sini is a small Israeli town near the southren
coastal city Ashkelon and about 10kn from Gaza.
At about 7:30 PM (Israel time) two terrorists broke
the town's fense and started a horrific rampage in the streets of
the town.
The terrorists ran from the westren side of the town
to the eastren shooting and throwing hand granedes into the houses.
On their way they noticed two teenagers (18 years
old) - a boy and girlfriend which were walking on the street.
The terrorists killed them both.
At this point IDF forces near-by noticed what's going
on and started rushing into the area.
A gunbattle erupted.
The terrorists quickly broke into one of the houses
and begun shooting in all directions.
From the fire and the breaking threw 14 people were
injured, one criticly.
Among the injured were 4 chidren - aged between 8
month - 5 years.
IDF forces quickly surrounded the house, blocking
the terrorists way out.
At this point special forces were brought in using
helicopters.
After completly surrounding the house IDF forces shouted
to the terrorists to surrender, the terrorists responded with fire
towards the IDF forces.
At this stage IDF forces feared that the terrorists
were holding hostages in the house.
After more then an hour, all the citizens were found
and checked and it was clear that luckely, the terrorists occupied
a house which was empty at the time.
At 11:00 the signal was given and special IDF forces
broke into the house and eliminated the two terrorists.
This attack broke all the red lines.
We used to live with car bombs, sucide bombers, and
road-attacks, now they penetrate towns and shoot everyone.
Early morning the IDF responded harshly, attacking
and destroying Palestinian army posts near the town.
IDF forces told Israeli T.V. that the Palestinian
outposts knew that the terrorists were coming and did nothing to
stop, or to warn anyone.
6 Palestinain army man were killed.
Israel will not surrender to terror and will do everything
to defend it's citizens.
